
Pakistan beats England and took 1-0 lead in the 4 match series by beating them at Lords by 75 runs. Yasir Shah claims the man of the match award for his outstanding figures of 10 for 141 in his debut test match outside Asia.
Pakistan set a total of 283 for England to chase down to win the match. Having bowled Pakistan in the first 10 minutes of morning sessions English batsmen struggled on crease and failed to build partnerships and lost wickets at regular intervals. Though Pakistan got early wickets, they did struggle to take wickets by not bowling in the right areas. England were bowled out for 207 chasing a target of 283. Jhonny Bairstrow and Chris Woakes showed some resistance in the middle, they put together a stand of 56 runs but soon this partnership was broken Yasir Shah’s magic delivery.
Muhammad Amir was seen off color in his first test match appearance after spot fixing scandal. In the end he cleaned up the English tail quickly to wrap up their innings. He seems charged up in end as he got his rhythm back and sent alarming signals to England for the upcoming matches.
It was a great contest fought in Great Spirit. There were thousands of Pakistani supporters at Lords who cheered every wickets of the opposition as the marched towards the victory.
After a historic win at Lords Pakistan Players Lined up in the stadium to do a celebratory pushups showing their gratitude to the armed personnel back home who trained them for this series.
