The ongoing epidemic known as “Blue Whale Challenges” has raised some very serious questions on in the paradigm of mental Health.
Despite the fact that suicide is a rising trend worldwide and according to a World Health Organization report “Around 80,000 people die due to suicide every year”. The new game Blue whale challenge has raised some serious concerns over the already critical phenomena.
Facebook has decided to educate its users about suicide and how to prevent it.
Antigone Davis, Head of Global Safety has released a statement:

PEOPLE CAN ACCESS TOOLS TO RESOLVE CONFLICT ONLINE, HELP A FRIEND WHO IS EXPRESSING SUICIDAL THOUGHTS OR GET RESOURCES IF THEY’RE GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME. IT’S PART OF OUR ONGOING EFFORT TO HELP BUILD A SAFE COMMUNITY ON AND OFF FACEBOOK.”
