Chris Gayle impacted an unbeaten 146 off 69 balls as Rangpur Riders completed 206/1 off their 20 overs in the Bangladesh Premier League at Dhaka.
Gayle hit 18 sixes over the span of his thump to better his own particular record for most sixes out of T20 innings.
The 38-year-old Jamaican had crushed 17 sixes amid his record-shattering 66-ball 175 not out for Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Pune Warriors in the 2013 IPL.
Gayle shared an unbroken 201-run remain with previous New Zealand player Brendon McCullum who completed 51 off 43 balls. The Kiwi star hit three sixes which implied Rangpur Riders equalled RCB’s record of 21 sixes.
Furthermore, the best part is, “He completed 11,000 runs in the shortest format of the game, and also became the first to score 20 centuries in T20s. He became the first player to score 100 maximums in the Bangladesh Premier League”.
