Celebrities share memorable pictures with Zubaida Apa

Famous chef and cooking expert Zubaida Tariq, passed away on Thursday, January 4, after battling a brief illness.

Born on April 4, 1945, Zubaida Apa was youngest of 9 siblings which include late playwright Fatima Surraya Bajiya and noted satirist Anwer Maqsood.

The heart-wrenching news was confirmed by her brother, Anwar Maqsood, adding that she was unwell for quite some time.

Celebrities paid tribute to Zubaida Apa by sharing memorable picture with her.

I had the pleasure of briefly interacting with Zubaida Aapa a few months ago. What an incredible, knowledgeable and graceful woman. She will always be remembered by the whole nation.

Zubaida apa was supposed to be on our show this morning but called to cancel later saying she was having trouble breathing and so her son was taking her to the hospital instead. Can’t believe she is no more. This picture is one of many we took together but it’s special because it’s the last time I met her around a month ago. She looked very frail and weak but as always was full of love, duas and the best sense of humour. RIP Zubaida Tariq. Forever and ever in our hearts. ❤️❤️ Her death is once again a reminder of how short and fragile life is and how we should do whatever we can in our power to make sure we respect, love and find time for those we love. May Allah keep our elders healthy and give them long lives so we can cherish our time with them.
