Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won the by-polls for the constituency of NA-154 Lodhran.
According to unofficial results from 338 polling stations showed that PML-N’s Iqbal Shah bagged over 116,000 votes. PTI candidate Ali Tareen followed behind with more than 91,000 votes.
NA-154 defeat is a major upset for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) before the general elections, But PTI chief Imran Khan accepted his party’s defeat as he called the ‘setback’ an opportunity to analyse mistakes, correct them and come back stronger.
“Successful people, institutions & nations learn from their failures. The 2018 election is ours, InshaAllah” Imran Khan said in social media posts.
But Ali Tareen’s supporters can’t handle his defeat and twitter busted with reactions.

The seat, NA-154, had fallen vacant in December 2017 when the Supreme Court disqualified PTI’s Jahangir Tareen, declaring him ‘dishonest’.
