Sindh Minister for Planning and Development Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani and his wife, former MPA Fariha Razzaq, were found shot dead at their residence in Phase II of Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority neighbourhood on Thursday.
According to initial reports, the bodies were found in a bedroom, with the bedroom door locked.
Bijarani’s spokesperson also confirmed the deaths. Later, the bodies were later shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for a post-mortem examination.
“My father was a brave man who can’t commit suicide.” Bijarani’s son Mir Shabir Khan Bijarani express his views in front of media.
“The incident took place at 2 pm. All servants were present in the house and they rushed to the room after hearing gunshots. His personal employees broke the door and found them dead,” a PPP leader said.
Socked and saddened by the news of Fariah & Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani’s death. Thoughts and prayers with their friends & family. Immense loss to the Party & country. https://t.co/bJmaPDb5Od
