Traffic police have revealed the traffic plan to be put in place in Karachi for the Pakistan-West Indies T20I series.
The three days on which the matches will be played — April 1, 2 and 3 — the road that goes from Karsaz to the National Stadium of Karachi will be blocked for traffic, which will instead be diverted towards Drigh Road and then towards Rashid Minhas Road.
According to the plan given by the traffic police, the road from Rashid Minhas Road that goes towards Dalmia and then the National Stadium will also be closed, along with the University Road from NIPA to Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum and new MA Jinnah Road.
Liaquatabad Road 10 which leads to the National Stadium will be closed as well and traffic will instead be diverted towards Karimabad and Aisha Manzil.
Those attending the match will be provided with parking spaces at the Hakeem Saeed Ground, Urdu University Ground and Sindh Bazaar Ground.
Karachi successfully hosted the Pakistan Super League final last weekend with an identical traffic plan, and the West Indies series represents the next step for the country in its bid to host regular international cricket once again.
