KARACHI: According to reports, the coalition administration has decided to fire PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja, who was appointed during the time of ex-prime minister Imran Khan.
According to reports, PM Shahbaz, who is also the patron-in-chief of PCB, would recommend two candidates to the Board of Governors for the future head of the board.
The PM is expected to select former PCB chairman Najam Sethi and Shakil Sheikh, according Pakistani sources.
Raja, on the other hand, had contacted PCB employees earlier today to inform them that he had received a “green light” from the government to begin working.
“I’ve been ordered to keep working as chairman of the PCB,” Raja told PCB workers. “Rather of worrying about what may happen, we should now concentrate on our work.”
