Kim Kardashian, the darling of comedian Pete Davidson, recently admitted that she had never seen an episode of Saturday Night Live until hosting it in October.
The reality TV actress, 41, was a surprise smash when she hosted the late-night sketch programme, leaving viewers in stitches with her opening speech, which poked fun at her renowned Kardashian-Jenner family.
However, on an episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with presenter Amanda Hirsch, the fashion entrepreneur explained her hosting experience and said she had to study for the part.
“I didn’t want to disgrace myself by getting up there and not being humorous,” she explained. “But I’d never seen a single episode of Saturday Night Live.” “I had certainly gone and seen bits since, you know, Kanye performed so many times,” she continued.
“I’d been in the crowd before, and I’d watched a complete show once.” “However, as I was watching the programme, I had no idea what the monologue was about,” Kim said.
She went on to say that all it took was watching one episode and learning how the monologue was meant to go, “and was like, ‘OK, I got this,'” the reality star, who is currently dating SNL host Davidson, added.
“I wasn’t concerned about the monologue; I was concerned about all of the sketches,” she explained. In one of the skits, she met her future husband, Davidson. In one fun skit, the couple portrayed Disney princesses Aladdin and Jasmine, and they even had a smooch.
