After missing Prince Philip’s memorial, Prince Harry is expected to attend the Invictus Games in the Netherlands this weekend, and experts believe his disagreement with security in the UK is not the cause.
According to royal analyst Robert Jobson, Prince Harry’s “absence from the UK yet readiness to fly to the Hague has nothing to do with safety, but with his feeling desired.”
“In the Hague, he will be feted,” Jobson added. His brothers and sisters in arms, both past and present, rightfully commend the Afghanistan veteran for giving back to the armed services and not forgetting them.”
“Back in the UK, especially with his own family, his forthcoming book means he isn’t getting the same slack,” he continued.
“Harry’s tome is expected to handle his problematic relationship with the Duchess of Cornwall, who was confirmed as the future Queen Consort by our Queen in February and is presumably the actual reason he is staying away,” Jobson says.
“Can you image how agonising it would be over dinner if someone asked what’s in the soon-to-be-published Random House book about them?” he said.
Jobson also stated that it is ‘very improbable’ Prince Harry will visit the UK to celebrate the Queen’s birthday, which falls on the same weekend as the Invictus Games.
