Cobra versus Meerkat Fight: A juvenile meerkat has gone face to face with a dangerous and venomous cape cobra in Africa’s Kalahari desert. The five-week-old meerkat youngster is learning how to live in the desert. He appears to be in serious peril, as the small meerkat is up against a menacing serpent. He summons his family, who rushes to his aid.
The adults seize the cape cobra from the front and defend themselves from his assaults. Their entire family is in danger if they don’t remove the snake out of their region. The meerkat pups have discovered the key to surviving in this harsh environment: collaboration. The meerkats do not kill the cobra, but they do manage to scare him away when he realises he is vastly outnumbered.

Mongooses are prized as home guards in several regions of the world because they can fight poisonous snakes like cobras.
