Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was congratulated on becoming the country’s new foreign minister by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday.
Bilawal stated on Twitter that he had received the call from his American colleague and thanked him for the congratulations.
The two sides discussed strengthening the mutually beneficial and broad-based relationship between Pakistan and the United States during the phone call, according to the tweet.

The two leaders also discussed promoting peace and security in the country and throughout the region.
The leaders also promised to participate in mutually respectful dialogue in the future, according to the tweet.
On April 27, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari became the country’s youngest foreign minister, shattering records previously held by his grandfather and a party leader.
The oath was delivered by President Arif Alvi to the Oxford-educated PPP chairman, who is 33 years, seven months, and six days old, after considerable delay and deliberation.
