According to The Hindu, a 22-year-old bride blacked out during her wedding ceremony in India and was brought to the hospital, where she died.
T Sai Srijana, a native of Hyderabad, Telangana, was identified as the dead.
The woman is suspected of poisoning herself, according to police.
Srijana was supposed to marry N Sivaji, according to reports. The wedding celebration was held in the evening by the couple.
The 22-year-old fainted during wedding rituals about 10 p.m. Her relatives rushed her to a luxury hospital, where she received medical care.
According to Palem police, physicians believe the bride consumed a dangerous drug. They also said the girl had previously complained of stomachaches for which she had been treated.
The exact cause of death, however, will not be known until the post-mortem report is received, according to the police.
