LAHORE: According to reliable sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed to begin the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on February 15, 2023.
The cricket board has finalised the calendar for the upcoming edition of the league without consulting the teams, according to individuals familiar with the situation, The News reported Monday.
Between February 15 and March 31, the event will take place.
“Despite the fact that there was no debate between franchises and PSL administration about the schedule, it was finalised,” the franchises were cited as saying by insiders.
The PCB has also agreed that the 2023 tournament would be held in Pakistan, with Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi as the host cities.
According to reports, New Zealand will visit Pakistan in January 2023, followed by the West Indies, following which Pakistan would host the Super League 8.
