
While referring to the purported plot behind the fall of the PTI administration, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar stated the Pakistan Army’s position on national security issues could not be accepted as final.
During a television interview, the former minister made these remarks. “At the onset, you were asking me a question that since it is a matter of national security, the army has the final say on the issue,” he continued, “but with all due respect, I don’t agree with this.”

The PTI leader was alluding to remarks made by the Pakistan Army’s spokesperson, Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar, a day earlier, in which he dismissed Imran Khan’s assertions of a foreign conspiracy.
Maj Gen Iftikhar stated that no proof of a “foreign conspiracy” was discovered, and that the National Security Committee (NSC) participants were informed that no plot against the PTI government had been devised.
