It might be exhausting to be an Indian bride. Before a Desi bride can be called’married,’ she must go through a million views. The mehendi ceremony is one of the most important, though exhausting, rites at Indian weddings. The bride must remain motionless for several hours while multiple artists use henna to make stunning designs on her arms and legs.
A video of a bride getting her mehendi done in a novel and convenient method has gone viral. The video was posted to Instagram by the page ‘wedabout’ and features Ali Zafar’s popular song Jhoom. The video has over 69,100 views and 2,100 likes.
A bride lies on a bed while mehendi artists apply mehendi to practically all of her arms and half of her legs in the video. Even with two or three artists, the amount of effort that goes into the design can easily take more than 3-4 hours, and it can take the same amount of time to dry up. While holding her arms and legs out, the bride is going to become fatigued. As the mehendi artisans worked their magic, this bride snoozed on her bed.
