Britney Spears married her longtime companion Sam Asghari in a ceremony in Southern California, only months after she was released from a court conservatorship.
Brandon Cohen, Asghari’s publicist, confirmed the couple’s wedding. He stated, ” “I’m overjoyed that the day has arrived, and they’ve tied the knot. I’m sure he’s been waiting for this for a long time. Every step of the journey, he is very loving and helpful.”
The couple were married nine months after they got engaged and about seven months after Spears’ conservatorship ended. Spears emphasised her wish to marry Asghari and have children while wanting an end to the court dispute that had taken over so much of her life.
Spears had a miscarriage in March after becoming pregnant earlier this year.
In 2016, the couple met on the set of the music video for “Slumber Party.”
Spears’ previous husband was arrested after attempting to disrupt their wedding, so there was some unexpected drama on the big day.
Officers responded to a trespassing incident about 2 p.m. Thursday, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Cameron Henderson. Jason Alexander, the pop singer’s first husband, was arrested at the ceremony, according to him.
Officers realised Alexander had a warrant out for his arrest in another county, according to Henderson.
When Alexander approached the event security, he went live on Instagram. He informed them Spears had invited him in what appeared to be a mostly vacant but decorated room.
“She’s my first and only wife,” Alexander stated, referring to his 2014 marriage to Spears, a childhood pal. Their union only lasted 55 hours.
Spears was formerly married to Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons, ages 14 and 15, and with whom she has two sons, ages 14 and 15.
