
In Pakistan, Eidul Azha is predicted to be celebrated on July 10, while Ashura (10th Muharram) is expected to be observed on August 8, according to Dr. Javed Iqbal, director of Karachi University’s Institute of Space Science and Technology.
The Islamic date of June 29 will likewise be 29 this year, according to Dr. Iqbal.
“When the sun sets that day (June 29), the moon’s altitude will be less than 5 degrees, and the moon will not be visible because the period of the sun and moon setting will be only 30 minutes,” he stated.
The first Zilhaj will be observed on July 1, according to the astronomer, while Eidul Azha will be observed on July 10. He stated that the beginning of Muharram will be on July 30 and the day of Ashura will be on August 8 in the Islamic calendar.
