According to IB Times, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who will be in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games this weekend, will not be officially welcomed by the Dutch royal family.
According to sources, the Dutch royal family was expected to extend their services to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they visited the Hague from April 16 to 22 for Harry’s Invictus Games, but that was not the case.
In addition to not receiving a royal welcome in the Netherlands, Prince Harry and Meghan are not expected to be granted an audience with Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima.
They will also be denied residency in the royal home, despite the fact that visiting members of the British royal family are generally granted this privilege.
They may be spotted ‘hitchhiking’ with the Dutch royals, who will allegedly attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the games, according to Dutch royal biographer Moniek Bloks.
The rejection comes as a result of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down as senior members of the British royal family in 2020 and relocating to the United States.
