Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing to relocate from California to New York City in order to pursue a career similar to that of Angelina Jolie and Amal Clooney, according to a source close to the Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan and Prince Harry, according to a source, have ‘failed’ to find a place in California’s celebrity circles, and after being ‘frozen out of Hollywood,’ are planning to relocate to New York City by the summer.
According to the source, the pair has set their sights on Midtown Manhattan because they want to get involved in politics and philanthropy.
“Being so near to the UN will provide them with so many options to branch out into philanthropy and politics,” the source explained.
“They’re both eager to get more active, as well as visiting all of the big conferences and doing a tonne of power-schmoozing on the east coast,” the report continued. Meghan aspires to be the next Angelina Jolie or Amal Clooney,” she says.
“Amal started her legal career in New York, while Angelina was a fixture in the city as she established herself as a Goodwill Ambassador,” the insider continued. So, on top of the obvious social benefits and tax incentives in New York, it’s a no-brainer to relocate there.”
“Plus, it’s only a short flight to Washington, DC, which is ideal for Meghan as she expands her political interests,” the insider continued.
