Syeda Dania Shah, MNA Aamir Liaquat’s third wife, stated she had filed for divorce the day before, and the famed TV personality unfollowed her on Instagram.
Dania Shah filed for a khula (woman’s right to divorce) from her husband on Saturday, claiming that the politician was not who he appeared to be on television and was “worse than the devil.”
Dania added that Aamir is not how he appears on television and that her four months of marriage with him has been nothing but “torment.”
Aamir Liaquat responded to her charges with a series of voice notes on his Instagram account. He lauded his first and second wives on Instagram stories, saying, “Although they were not divorced, the two were honourable.” They “did not sully his honour,” he remarked.
His first two wives, according to Liaquat, first removed his name from their names before filing for divorce.
“How bold you are to seek a divorce at the age of 15, now I unfollow you,” Liaquat said, criticising Dania.
Dania Shah approaches court for divorce
Syeda Dania Shah had filed for a khula (woman’s right to divorce) from her husband the day before, claiming that the politician was not as he appeared on television and was “worse than the devil.”
Dania claimed that the PTI legislator used to confine her to a small room.
“Aamir is threatening me and my family with serious consequences,” Dania stated, adding that “he would beat me after being intoxicated.”
Dania has filed several family court lawsuits in addition to her divorce. In her plea, she asks the court to force her husband to pay over Rs115 million in haq mehr, as well as his house and jewellery.
The matter is scheduled to be heard on June 7.
