The announcement that superstar Atif Aslam and Coke Studio breakout star Shae Gill will collaborate on a new song has music fans thrilled.
Aslam and Gill’s latest single, Manzil, will be used to promote Covid vaccines, and the anticipation for the impending song has already increased.
On May 11, a teaser for the song was posted on the YouTube page of the US Embassy in Pakistan. The music video will be released on May 14 at 6 p.m., according to the announcement. Sarwat Gilani will also appear in the music video.
“The US Embassy in Islamabad collaborated with Sarmad Khoosat, a Pakistani Cannes-nominated film director, to create a new song advocating Covid-19 immunizations and booster shots,” according to the statement.
“The song’s lyricist was Mohammad Hanif, while the producers and composers were Shamsher Rana, Varqa Faraid, Nimra Gilani, and Ali Hamdani. Atif Aslam, an internationally recognised vocalist, and Shae Gill, a Coke Studio sensation, supplied vocals.”
Since the teaser was aired, fans of the Sang e Mah actor and the Pasooir actress have taken to Twitter to express their excitement.
