The New York Post reported that Amber Heard’s sister, Whitney Henriquez, testified against her sister’s ex-Johnny Depp in the ongoing defamation trial between the former couple on Wednesday.
Henriquez stated that she witnessed furious battles between her sister and Depp, and that she was once assaulted by Depp when caught in the middle of the quarrel.
Henriquez testified that she was at the couple’s Los Angeles home when Depp and Heard got into a fight, during which Depp allegedly ‘chased’ her up some stairs.
“I’m up against Amber.” He approaches me from behind, hits me in the back, and then walks away. He smacks me across the back of the head. ‘Don’t strike my (expletive) sister,’ Amber yells. She strikes him and lands a punch.” Henriquez explained
She went on to state that during the altercation, Depp grabbed Heard by the hair and repeatedly punched her in the face.
Depp is presently suing Heard for $50 million in defamation after she claimed in a 2018 op-ed that she had been the victim of domestic abuse.
