Raquel Pennington, a friend of Heard’s at the time of her relationship with Depp; Pennington’s ex, Josh Drew; Whitney Henriquez, Heard’s sister; Elizabeth Marz, a former acquaintance of Heard’s; Melanie Inglessis, Heard’s former makeup artist; and Krista Sexton, Heard’s former acting coach, all testified on Wednesday in Johnny Depp’s defamation suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Amber Heard’s sister’s surname was misspelt in an earlier edition. Whitney Henriquez, not Henrique, is her name.
When challenged about his statements in the Daily Mail that Heard’s abuse allegations are a “hoax,” Depp’s former attorney, Adam Waldman, invoked attorney-client confidentiality.
Heard’s countersuit against Depp is based on three statements he made to the Daily Mail in 2020. Waldman acknowledged making the remarks attributed to him by Heard’s lawyer.
“Did you make these statements on behalf of Mr. Depp?” Heard’s lawyer inquired.
To safeguard communications made under attorney-client privilege, Waldman was told not to respond.
