Christine Quinn is speaking up about a previous sugar daddy relationship.
The Selling Sunset star discusses her relationship with Mr. Valentino, or Mr. V, an older man she dated in her twenties in her new book How to Be a Boss B*tch (available now). Now she’s talking to PEOPLE about their relationship, including how eating McDonald’s in a Bentley contributed to their breakup.
Quinn, 33, once had a sugar daddy and adds, “There’s no shame in that game.” “It’s two consenting adults at the end of the day. He was 40 and I was 21. I was immediately pulled to him because he was the most beautiful, worldly, and handsome man I had ever seen; we had this incredible chemistry.”
Quinn met Mr. V while bartending in her hometown of Dallas, and she claims they had a strong connection: “Not only was I physically drawn to him, but we had this instant mental connection where we could read each other’s minds.”
Mr. V introduced her to the world of designer labels and luxury cars, which she now lives in, according to her book. However, their romance came at an exorbitant price: he requested Quinn to cease working.
“Quitting my job was the biggest mistake I’ve ever done. That is something I regret doing. But I gave up my career for him, and as a result, I lost my power “Quinn explains. “He essentially wanted me to be a housewife, which I was not interested in. As a result, I elected to leave.”
When she realised that Mr. V was tracking the Bentley he gave her, the star real estate agent decided to call it quits.
Quinn explains, “He gave me this car and bought me all these wonderful presents, which is nice — but I don’t enjoy being dominated.” “That was a trigger point for me because realising that someone is tracking you, stalking you, or invading your privacy is a really terrible experience.”
Quinn continues: “That had never happened to me before. It was simply a method of control, and I don’t believe it was intended to be malicious in any way, but it taught me to appreciate freedom and independence, and it taught me that I must first build my own kingdom, and then my king will arrive.”
