“I wanted you to hear it from me first,” the caption read. Unfortunately, I will need tonsillectomy surgery as soon as possible. The surgery is routine, however due to swelling, recovery will take some time. That means I’ll have to cancel my festival appearances and The Weekend Tour this summer.”
“I feel terrible about this,” she said, “but I can’t wait for this to heal so I can get back to making music and creating an experience for y’all.”
According to reports, the singer was due to play at the Hangout Festival and Glastonbury Festival, as well as the Weekend’s tour, which was scheduled to take place between July and September.
The Say So singer had previously discussed her tonsillitis on social media. She explained that she had a throat abscess at the time.
“I was on antibiotics but forgot about them, and then I drank wine and vaped all day, and then I developed a horrible growth on my tonsil, and they had to operate on it today,” she explained.
