LOVED the first 2 eps of Ms Marvel. This is the South Asian rep I want to see. Sugar-coated saunf, dialogue about @iamsrk’s best film, a soundtrack including @hasanraheeem’s Peechay Hutt. Kamala Khan is unapologetically brown and I LOVE IT. pic.twitter.com/O2CKjgUPvR

Iman Vellani, aka Kamala Khan, will play the titular character in the next series. The protagonist is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American girl from New Jersey who possesses supernatural talents. Kamala Khan chooses a superhero identity based on Captain Marvel, a character played by Brie Larson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
