Before his untimely death at the age of 67, Ray Liotta was a committed father who was engaged to the “love of his life,” Jacy Nittolo.
Liotta frequently proclaimed his affection for his blended family, which included Nittolo’s four children, and lavished attention on his daughter Karsen, whom he shares with ex-wife Michelle Grace.
Following the revelation of his engagement with Nittolo in December 2020, Liotta wrote, “Christmas hopes do come true.”
“I proposed to the love of my life, and thank God she accepted!!!”
The couple was photographed on a beach in the US Virgin Islands in January, according to Nittolo’s most recent Instagram post. Another picture shows the two of them kissing.
She added two emojis of a red heart and a palm tree to the beautiful photo.
When Liotta’s 23-year-old daughter Karsen met Nittolo’s son at a party, the two were acquainted. Nittolo was persuaded by Karsen to go out on a date with Liotta.
Originally, the mother of four said she didn’t want “anything to do with” an actor.
In a September interview with Live with Kelly and Ryan, Liotta quipped that when Nittolo learned who he was, she replied to her, “‘Wait a second, isn’t he, like, in his 60s?” ‘I’m in my forties.’
Nittolo’s 10-year-old kid, according to Liotta, was the “buzzkill” in the relationship for him.
“When you’re in your 60s, the last thing that you want is a 10-year-old. Luckily this kid is very cool!”
Karsen, Liotta’s sole child from his first marriage, which lasted from 1997 until 2004, is his only child.
Karsen, like her father, has always been interested in acting and performance, and she began participating in her high school theatrical shows at a young age.
In 2015, she told Teen Vogue, “He taught me to do my homework and to always practise.” “That’s how you go to your destination.”
In 2018, she co-starred opposite Jennifer Lopez in season three of the criminal drama Shades of Blue, alongside her father.
“My daughter portraying my daughter in Shades of Blue,” Liotta captioned a photo of the two on the show.
Liotta’s date for the UK premiere of Marriage Story in 2019 was Karsen. Karsen would frequently accompany her father while she wasn’t working on her modelling profession.
“Whenever I have a break, I always go with him,” she stated, adding that she would hang out with Liotta on the set of his projects. “I like hanging out on set and meeting new people.”
“I’ve always loved acting, and it’s been my main emphasis since I was a kid, but modelling is something I’d like to do for a long.” I have a lot of fun with both of them.”
According to Deadline, the renowned Goodfellas actor died abruptly in his sleep Thursday in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming Dangerous Waters.
Liotta’s death was not suspicious, according to TMZ sources, and no foul play is suspected.
The news of Liotta’s passing spread fast on social media, with several well-known Hollywood celebrities paying tribute to the late actor.
Lorraine Bracco, who co-starred with him in the film Goodfellas, expressed her admiration for him “”I am absolutely crushed to hear this horrible news about my Ray,” she tweeted after learning of Liotta’s death.
“People will approach me from all over the world and tell me that their favourite film is Goodfellas. Then they always want to know what the most enjoyable aspect of making the film was. My response has always been the same.
Jamie Lee Curtis, the star of Halloween, revealed: “Ray Liotta has passed away. His work as an actor demonstrated his human complexity. He’s a gentleman. It’s heartbreaking to hear this.”
Liotta’s co-star on The Many Saints of Newark, Alessandro Nivola, said he was “fortunate” to work with him in one of his final performances.
“Ray Liotta, rest in peace. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have faced this legend in one of his final roles “Nivola sent out a tweet.
“The scenes we worked on together were some of the most memorable in my acting career. He was a wild, unpredictable, humorous actor who lavished praise on other actors. It was far too soon.”
FINAL INSTAGRAM POST
Liotta used Instagram three days before his death to promote an unusual initiative called Cocaine Bear.
The story revolves around a 500-pound bear that consumes cocaine and goes on a rampage, endangering an entire village.
Ray, who expressed his excitement for the future of his profession, gave a hilarious description of the film in which he was due to star on Instagram.
“Cocaine Bear” was described as “a strange gathering of cops, criminals, tourists, and teenagers converging in a Georgia woodland where a 500-pound apex predator has taken a stunning amount of the white powder and goes on a coke-fueled rampage seeking more blow — and blood.”
In the comments, fans were ecstatic, offering congratulations sentiments to the singer.
One admirer said, “This movie seems insane!”
Another person said: “A fantastic cast! congrats!!”
“A must see it appears one of my fave performers Ray Liotta,” a third commenter said.
