In reaction to the tourism-promoting initiative, Secretary Alpine Club Karar Haidari noted that the country has never seen as many tourists as this year, which is a positive indicator for the country’s tourism economy.
He also indicated that the rickshaw journey to Khunjerab would take seven days. He also encouraged the government to assist tourists with visas and other services in order to boost tourist numbers.
The World Economic Forum’s International Travel and Tourism Development Index recently moved Pakistan up six places.
