At the World Airport Awards, held by Skytrax, a UK-based consultancy organisation that runs an airline, airport review, and ranking platform, Qatar’s Hamad International Airport earned the title for World’s Best Airport for the second time.
The 2022 World Airport Awards, known as the Oscars of the airport business, were held in Paris at the Passenger Terminal Expo, the world’s largest annual airport exhibition.
In this regard, Hamad International Airport’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, expressed his delight at Qatar’s primary gateway to the globe being awarded the finest worldwide airport.
The contribution of the management, personnel, and stakeholders of Hamad International Airport to winning this award for the second year in a row was hailed by Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.
The World Airport Awards, presented by Skytrax, serve as a benchmark for the global airport business. Skytrax evaluates the customer service and facilities of over 550 airports to determine the winners.
