Customers of Jazz, the country’s major cellular carrier, have reported service outages all around the country. Customers complained that their signals had vanished, and that they were unable to make calls or use data services.
Multiple cuts in the optical fibre connection caused phone and data services to be degraded in various places in the North, according to a Jazz representative.
“Our employees acted rapidly to address the incident, and all impacted services were quickly restored.” We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate our clients’ patience throughout this process,” said the representative.
Pakistan Lounge also reached out to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), which confirmed that the Jazz service outage was caused by multiple fibre network outages. The official added that the disruption is limited to the north region.
A lot of Jazz consumers resorted to social media sites to express their dissatisfaction with the service. The issues varied from mobile and internet connectivity issues to signal loss.
Customers who were perplexed took to the company’s social media presence in search of answers. According to reports, Jazz’s customer service hotline was also unreachable.
