According to a notification published on Friday, markets across Sindh would close at 9 p.m. to preserve electricity.
According to the Home Department’s notification, the move is in response to widespread power failures and load shedding, and it aims to close the gap between supply and demand for electricity.
The decision was made to use the morning hours for business purposes, according to the notification.
Tonight is the first day of the new rule’s implementation.
The announcement stated that all markets and retail malls must close by 9 p.m., but that this does not apply to medical stores, pharmacies, hospitals, petrol pumps, CNG stations, bakeries, and milk shops.
Furthermore, wedding venues and restaurants must close by 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., respectively.
