According to a police spokeswoman who quoted the victim’s spouse, the family lives at a local landlord’s fish farm. Three thieves stormed into his home, holding the husband hostage and gang-raped his wife in front of their children.
The attackers took the woman’s jewellery, collected some household items, and escaped, according to the spokesman. The rape victim was sent to the hospital for a medical evaluation after the police acquired forensic evidence.
