
Queen Elizabeth has been thanked for her service over the course of her 70-year reign, and she is now thanking those who have thanked her.
Following the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, the culminating event of a four-day celebration, the Queen, 96, released a message on Sunday.
“There are no rules to follow when it comes to celebrating your Queen’s 70th birthday. It’s a first, to be sure “In a statement, she stated. “However, I am humbled and genuinely moved by the number of people who have taken to the streets to commemorate my Platinum Jubilee.”
“While I may not have been able to attend every occasion in person, my heart has been with you all,” the monarch said, “and I remain devoted to serving you to the best of my abilities, backed by my family.”
“The compassion, joy, and kinship that have been so obvious in recent days have inspired me, and I hope that this restored sense of unity will be felt for many years to come,” she said. “I genuinely appreciate your kind words and the part you’ve all played in these joyous occasions.”
“I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee.”

Queen Elizabeth made a surprise appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony with her heirs as part of the festivities’ grand finale. In a memorable moment that marked the monarchy’s future, she was accompanied by Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The family sang along to the national hymn, “God Save the Queen.” As George glanced up at his great-granny, red, white, and blue fireworks shot off, and she smiled back.
While the Queen celebrated Trooping the Colour on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on Thursday, she has been unable to attend all of the festivities commemorating her 70 years on the throne due to mobility concerns.
After a long day of Trooping the Colour, Kate Middleton assured a guest at a reception hosted by the previous Lord Mayor at Guildhall on Friday that the Queen was “fine.”
According to PA, the Duchess of Cambridge replied, “Yes, she [the Queen] was well, it was just extremely exhausting yesterday.” She added that the monarch “had had a lovely, lovely time.”
Queen Elizabeth did not attend the Epsom Derby on Saturday, but she did watch it on television. The Queen did not attend the Platinum Party at the Palace on Saturday night, but she did open the event with a pre-recorded skit featuring none other than Paddington Bear!
