Rohingya Muslims are often considered as the most persecuted minority in the World. They consist of laborers who migrated from the sub-continent in British era when Myanmar was one of the provinces of British India. Little did they know that their sufferings would increase in this region. As the British left, they left this issue unresolved; could be considered as just another issue like Kashmir where the Muslims are helplessly oppressed.
As the Rohingya Muslim crisis continue in Burma, let us remind you of the inhuman and immoral attitude of Bangladesh’s Prime Minister towards the survivors that could still be seen. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Prime Minister Hasina Wajid clearly told the interviewer that the Rohingya Muslims are not the problem of Bangladesh but they are the problem of the Burmese government. She said Bangladesh is already over populated and could not bear the burden of this many emigrants. There are nearly half a million Rohingya refugees living on the Bangladesh border who are neither being facilitated nor being registered. Here is what Hasina Wajid said:
