General Election 2018 of Provincial and National Assemblies may be delayed and are unlikely to be held on the scheduled time. As the offcila results of Census 2017 will be available by April 2018, Sources of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics revealed.
According to Sources, “The final results of the Census 2017 will be available in April 2018.”
The Council of Common Interest (CCI) has already approved the provisional results and the provisional results are also shared with the media and Government of Sindh along with some political parties of the province has also expressed rejected the provisional results of the PBS.
The (CCI) Council of Common Interest has approved the results and are shared with provincial governments and political parties.
As per the provisional results Pakistan’s Population has reached 207.7 million
- Punjab 110 million
- Sindh 47 million
- KPK 30 million
- Balochistan 12 million
According to the officials of Election commission of Pakistan: ‘The delay in declaring the final results of the Census 2017 may have serious complications for holding the General Elections in 2018.’
