Prime minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has inaugurated nuclear power plan C-4 in Chasma. The power plan has the capacity of 340MW.
(PAEC) Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has achieved another milestone with the C-4 Chasma power plant has formally being connected to the national grid.
Before that Chasma nuclear power project Unit C-1, C-2, and C-3 has been connected to the national grid. The atomic power stations has been the best performing power stations of the country with the availability factor of 99%.
With the inauguration of C-4 the total electricity produced from the atomic energy has reached 1030 MW
Apart from this two large atmomic power plants are under construction and scheduled to be completed by 2020. These plants will add 2200 MW energy to the national grid.
