MULTAN: The West Indies team arrived here this afternoon and was greeted warmly at a local hotel.
West Indian players were greeted with bouquets and juices in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as they prepare for three ICC World Cup Super League ODI matches against the Green Shirts.
The visiting team will recuperate today before returning to training tomorrow [Tuesday] in preparation for the series.
West Indies will be led by their newly appointed captain Nicholas Pooran, who is only in his second international series as captain. The two-time 50-overs World Cup champions have just completed their series in the Netherlands, winning 3-0.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will begin training today after winning their last ODI series 2-1 at home against the great Australians in March-April of this year.
Pakistan is presently ranked tenth in the world, with six victories out of twelve matches under Babar Azam’s captaincy. West Indies, on the other hand, have a respectable record, sitting in fourth place with eight wins in 18 matches.
On June 8, 10, and 12, the two teams will face off in three one-day internationals.
