Pakistan Railways has outsourced commercial management of three more passenger trains, including the Tezgam Express, to the private sector in order to provide better services to customers.
Pakistan Railways, according to reliable sources, has outsourced three train services, which will begin operating under a public-private partnership later this month.
The PR has also instructed the booking officials to cancel all reservations immediately.
The Subuk Kharam, Rawal Express, and Tezgam are the three trains that have been outsourced. The Subuk Kharam and Rawal Express will begin operating under a private operator from June 16, while the Tezgam will begin operations on July 1.
The Pakistan Railways announced in October 2020 that it has decided to outsource the commercial administration of eight passenger trains to the private sector in order to improve passenger convenience.
The railway agency requested ideas from the business sector to outsource passenger train commercial management. The railway department’s representative said in a statement that eight passenger trains are being privatised.
