ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Qatar’s Emir of State, Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al Thani, on Monday to wish him a happy Eid-ul-Fitr.
The prime also sent his warmest wishes to Qatar’s brotherly people, according to a statement released by the Foreign Office.
The emir of Qatar graciously accepted the greetings and conveyed his best wishes to the Pakistani people.
“Both presidents expressed pleasure with the great condition of bilateral ties and vowed to continue the two nations’ robust political and economic cooperation,” according to the statement.
“The two leaders promised to stay in touch and collaborate on any areas of mutual concern.”
PM Shehbaz extended an invitation to Qatar’s emir to visit Pakistan as soon as possible. The emir also invited Prime Minister Shehbaz to visit Qatar.
PM Shehbaz conveys best wishes to Bahraini king
PM Shehbaz also called Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today to express his wishes on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The premier also expressed his best wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s brotherly people’s sustained success and prosperity.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its ties with Bahrain and stated his desire to expand bilateral collaboration in a variety of areas.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, the Prime Minister praised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s government’s efforts to care for the Pakistani diaspora.
“King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa congratulated PM Shehbaz on his recent election and assumption of office,” the Foreign Office said, “while sharing the prime minister’s Eid wishes and heartfelt thoughts for the people of Bahrain.”
The Bahraini king reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to widen and deepen bilateral cooperation with Pakistan, saying he looked forward to working closely with Prime Minister Shehbaz to achieve this goal.
