President Isaac Herzog of Israel stated that a team from South Asia visited with him in Israel two weeks ago, adding that the delegation included two Pakistani Americans.
The Israeli president confirmed meeting with a Pakistani group during talks at the World Economic Forum in Davos, according to the International News Agency, but did not identify the identities of the delegation members.

The two Pakistani nationals, according to Herzog, were “proud Pakistanis” who lived continuously in the United States.
He went on to say that the meeting with the Pakistani delegation was “extremely welcome” and that he was “pleasantly surprised” because no Pakistani delegation had ever visited Israel.
Anila Ahmed, a Pakistani-American, had previously tweeted a photo of herself with Israeli President Binyamin Netanyahu on Twitter on May 12. She is seen in the photo presenting the Israeli president with a book on Tehreek-e-Pakistan and Quaid-e-Azam written by her father, Qutbuddin Ahmed.
Anila Ahmed is a politician, novelist, and teacher who is well-known in the United States for her social activities.
Her post implies that she was part of the delegation that met with Israeli President Binyamin Netanyahu.
Although the composition of the Pakistani delegation was not immediately known, former human rights minister Shireen Mazari criticised the inclusion of Pakistan Television (PTV) anchor Waqar Qureshi in the delegation, saying it was “shocking” to see him because he worked for a “state institution” of “sensitive nature.”
Dr. Shireen Mazari, today's self-appointed top #PTI anti-#Israel crusader, was DG ISSI in 2005 when her boss, then FM Kasuri, held first official #Pakistan–#Israel meeting in #Turkey, after which Israel waived import license requirement for 🇵🇰; saved her job by not objecting. /1 https://t.co/7CwScv60l7 pic.twitter.com/5yKUgaeHwZ

Qureshi responded on Twitter, claiming that Mazari’s former boss, ex-foreign minister Raza Kasuri, had convened the first “official” Pakistan-Israel conference in Turkey, “after which Israel dropped critical licence criteria for Pakistan.”
He enquired as to whose directives had resulted in the betrayal of Pakistan’s philosophy and its founder’s ideology about Palestinian Muslims.

“With Imran Khan as Prime Minister, it would not have been conceivable, thus he was ousted.” This strategy includes Sharif, Zardari, and Fazlur Rehman.”
‘Govt does not recognise Israel’
In response to Arslan’s tweet, Ahsan Iqbal, the head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Minister for Planning and Development, maintained that no official or semi-official group from Pakistan had visited Israel.
“This delegation consisted of Pakistani-Americans who had already explained themselves,” he said.
The government’s attitude on Israel, according to Ahsan Iqbal, is clear: it does not recognise the state of Israel.
He also expressed his condolences to the Palestinians.
