
On Tuesday, a Qatar Airways flight from Lahore to Doha made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
Flight QR-629, according to aviation sources, developed a mechanical problem shortly after taking off from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport this morning.
The flight’s pilots requested and received permission for an emergency landing from Air Traffic Control (ATC).
The plane was grounded for repairs, but the specifics of the problem have yet to be released.
According to Civil Aviation officials, the jet had roughly 200 passengers on board when it made the emergency landing.
When its departure from Lahore in April, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight destined for Jeddah made an emergency landing at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport after its windscreen cracked mid-flight.
