Tecno has introduced its Camon 19 series for the global market at a launch event held at New York’s Rockefeller Center. The Camon 19 Pro and its 5G Edition were the genuine show-stoppers. The 19 Neo and the vanilla 19 have also been unveiled, but details regarding their characteristics are still scant.
Tecno Camon 19 Pro and Pro 5G
The Samsung-made 64 MP RGBW camera sensor was first used in the Camon 19 Pro 5G. Tecno has also added the “industry’s slimmest bezel,” measuring just 0.98mm on the front.
It features a gorgeous 6.8-inch Full HD+, 120Hz display with a punch-hole cutout for the 16-megapixel front camera. The phone’s back has a diamond covering, as well as a dual-ring rear camera with three lenses. It has a 64 MP ISOCELL RGBW main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP AI sensor.
The Tecno Camon 19 Pro’s 5G edition is powered by a Mediatek Dimesity 810 processor, with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB/256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The Mediatek Helio G96 SoC is at the heart of the non-5G Camon 19 Pro (the one that will be sold in Pakistan). The primary shooter in the back is kept at 64 MP with OIS, although it does not support RGBW. The other two sensors of the 5G variant have been replaced by a 50 MP telephoto camera and a 2 MP portrait lens.
A 5,000 mAh battery with 33W Super Flash charging, Android 12, and side-mounted fingerprint sensors are among the other similar features. The Camon 19 Pro 5G with 8GB+256GB will cost $320 (66,000 PKR), while the Camon 19 Pro will cost $280. (58,000 PKR).
Tecno Camon 19
The Helio G96 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W flash charging power the Standard Camon 19. The triple-camera configuration on the back has a 64 MP wide-angle lens, a 2 MP depth camera, a 2 MP AI camera, and a Quad-LED flash, while the front has a 16 MP lens.
The LCD screen is remained at 6.8 inches and has a Full HD+ resolution. The Camon 19 comes in 4GB/6GB and 128GB storage options. It has Android 12, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and NFC capability, just like the Pro version.
Overall, the new series is more polished and premium this year. There are currently no further clear data about the internal specifications or projected price of the Tecno Camon 19 basic variant. Later this month, the phones will be available in global markets (including Pakistan).
