Ukrainian girl poses in her prom dress in front of a bombed school

The Internet has been rattled by a heartbreaking photo of a teenage girl standing in front of her bombed school in Ukraine. The photo, which was shared on Twitter, shows a Ukrainian girl dressed in a lovely red prom gown standing among the rubble of what was once an educational school.

Anna Episheva, a Ukrainian resident, posted a photo of her niece along with a message explaining the scenario. “My niece was expected to graduate from high school this year.” She and her pals had purchased outfits and were excited for the big day. Then the Russians arrived. Her school was hit straight and completely demolished. “Today she returned to what remained of her school and her plans,” the caption stated.

The shot has received over 40k likes and a slew of comments. The picture was dubbed “a powerful reminder of the sad destiny of millions of innocent Ukrainians” by many. Others extended their prayers to the people of Ukraine, while others wrote on how the photo would go down in history.

Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced that a unique “Book of Executioners” will be published next week containing material on Russian army war crimes. After President Vladimir Putin launched an attack on Ukraine, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia erupted.
