“For all you do, for who you are, I will be forever glad you are in my life,” Aditya, who received a National Award for his 2019 film Uri: The Surgical Strike, captioned the video. “Congratulations on your first anniversary!” Yami wished Aditya a happy wedding anniversary in the same video with the same text.
Uri: The Surgical Strike was co-written by Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar.
The Bala actress donned her mother’s sari, a nose ring, and a dupatta gifted to her by her grandmother for her wedding. Surilie, her sister, did her hair and she did her own make-up. Yami had previously told PTI that she and Aditya didn’t feel obligated to put up a “pomp and show” at their wedding and were happy with a more traditional and intimate affair.
“It’s your day, your family, and it’s ideal if you can enjoy it without feeling obligated to do so.” We don’t believe in pomp and circumstance. To each his own, it’s your special day, so do what makes you happy. However, we dislike wasting food and have never desired a DJ wedding. We are both traditional, and we enjoyed our traditions. We sang traditional Pahadi and Kashmiri songs, as well as Punjabi folk music… “There were only around 20 people there, but it was a lot of fun,” the actor remarked.
Yami has OMG 2 and Lost in her kitty on the work front. The Immortal Ashwatthama, starring Vicky Kaushal, is in the works for Aditya Chopra.
